CREATURES OF HABIT
SARAH DOLBY

3 - 28 November 2015

In this body of work Sarah Dolby explores the illusion of time, emotional habits and the sometimes-turbulent internal world that lies beneath a calm facade. These works are particularly personal to Dolby.

As a creature of habit, Dolby is drawn to re-creating familiar images in order to capture the space between strength and fragility, to make sense of the on-going and ever changing state of being.

The artist's use of collected objects (carefully selected from her imagination and her own treasures) extends the narrative of each painting.
